This interactive workshop provides teachers with strategies and resources for using mentor texts to help students evaluate critical elements of a successful argument and then apply those elements in writing their own arguments. Participants will engage in activities with mentor texts and leave with specific, ready-to-use ideas and materials for teaching students how to understand claims, reasons, and evidence.
